Designed and engineered in collaboration with a woodburner specialist, it follows our Somerset Grill principles of excellent functionality, high quality build and good looks. Four sides of specialist fireproof glass give dancing flame views all round, and the air-wash system keeps the glass clean. A removable ash plate in the base makes for simple cleaning, alongside a built-in ash drawer, which also controls airflow and draw.

The easily controlled stainless steel chimney baffle helps control draw and a cleaner burn, the angled top surface lets all rain run off to prevent corrosion, and there's a built-in log store with base plate underneath. The door handle remains cool throughout, and is held closed by a magnet, for easy and safe use.

Once lit, our outdoor woodburner provides a gentle and consistent heat source, unaffected by wind or breeze, with smoke discharged above sitting height. Perfect to use all year round – sit close for winter warming, or enjoy gentle heat on dreamy summer nights.

Built in 4mm Cor-Ten and pre-rusted before arrival, it comes fully assembled bar fixing the chimney on with 8 simple bolts. The tall chimney draws smoke away from sitting height, and still deters midges and mosquitoes.

Easy to light and clean. Use dried logs under 20% moisture – larger logs give a slower burn and heat release. Permitted for use in DEFRA Smoke Free areas, providing it is free-standing outdoors.

Top tip: Open the ash drawer a little when lighting to create a strong draw, and close once burning. 

Cor-Ten is weathering steel. Over the first few months outdoors it develops a rust-coloured patina — that isn't damage, it's the steel protecting itself. Once it forms, it seals the surface and stops corrosion going any deeper.

So the short answer is: leave it alone. No painting, no treatment, no oiling.

Early days. It arrives pre-weathered, and the colour keeps deepening over the first few months, especially after rain. Uneven at first, then it settles into an even rust-brown.

Run-off. While the patina settles, rain can carry rust-coloured run-off onto whatever's underneath. On light stone, stand it on gravel or a dark slab, or use a base. Once it's settled, run-off stops.

Covers. Not needed. If you'd rather keep it tidier between uses, a cover won't hurt.

Lifespan. With no intervention at all, expect 25+ years.
