How to Fit the Rotisserie on Your Somerset Grill

Adding a rotisserie to your Asado Grill or Grande Grill is a fantastic way to enhance your outdoor cooking experience. Whether you're roasting a whole chicken, lamb, or any other meat, the slow rotation ensures even cooking and a rich, smoky flavour.

One of the great features of the Asado and Grande Rotisserie is that it bolts directly onto the grill frame, allowing you to raise and lower it throughout the cook. This gives you excellent temperature control, ensuring your food is cooked to perfection over the wood fire.

Follow these simple steps to install your rotisserie correctly and get grilling in no time!

Step 1: Attach the Motor Bracket
  • Locate the left-hand side of the grill frame.
  • Use the bolts provided to attach the motor bracket.
  • Important: Attach the bracket on the inside of the frame to prevent it from rubbing against the upright.
Step 2: Attach the Skewer Bracket
  • On the right-hand side of the grill frame, attach the skewer bracket.
  • Secure it with the bolts provided and, like the motor bracket, attach it on the inside of the frame to prevent rubbing on the upright.
Step 3: Slide the Motor into Position
  • If you haven’t already, slide the motor into place on the left-hand bracket.
  • Ensure it is firmly seated before proceeding.
Step 4: Assemble the Skewer and Forks
  • Attach all the necessary fittings to the skewer.
  • Check the instruction manual inside the box for full details.
  • Top Tip: Before lighting the fire, position the forks closer to the handle—this makes it easier to adjust their position.
  • Once you're happy with the placement, tighten everything securely.
Important Note for Grande Rotisserie Users

🔹 The skewer on the Grande Rotisserie is shorter and does not have a plastic handle.
