Can you Use Charcoal on a Somerset Grill?

Can you Use Charcoal on a Somerset Grill?

Yes you can!

We recommend using a good British lumpwood charcoal like whittle and flame charcoal.

Start with a few pieces of kindling at the base of the ember maker and then pour the charcoal on top and light with natural Fire-lighter. The ember maker gives great oxygen supply providing an even burn throughout the charcoal.

Once the fire reaches the kindling and you start to see the embers fall through, use your ember rake to knock the rest of the coals into the main cooking area to create the perfect bed of flaming hot charcoal! 🔥🔥🔥
