Fire, made easy.

How it works

Fire, made easy.

If you can light a fire, you can cook on a Somerset Grill. Everything is designed to make real wood fire simple to control.

  • Wind the handle

Raise or lower the grill over the embers to dial in the heat.

  • The Ember Maker

Burn logs down in the basket and rake fresh embers under the grill for as long as you like.

  • The V Grill

Channels fat away from the fire. No flare-ups, no burnt-fat taste.

  • Wood store underneath

Keeps your logs dry and right where you need them.

Embers glowing in the Ember Maker

For steak lovers

The best steak you’ll ever cook is over embers.

Everyone thinks their grill does a good steak. Then they taste one cooked over real wood embers.

01

Real embers, not gas

Seasoned hardwood burnt down to glowing embers. That’s where the flavour comes from.

02

A proper crust

The Ember Maker keeps a constant supply of embers for a hard, even sear.

03

No flare-ups

The V Grill channels fat away from the fire, so there’s no burnt-fat taste.

Once you’ve mastered steak

Twelve ways to cook. One grill.

Simmer a ragu, hang a leg of lamb, spin a rotisserie chicken and bake bread in the embers. All on the same grill.

Is a wood fire hard to control?
No. Wind the handle to raise or lower the grill over the embers, and rake fresh embers from the Ember Maker whenever you need more heat.
What wood do I use?
